Position Title: Executive Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent of EII Classification: Executive Support Specialist 2 Salary: $3,860.00 - $5,676.00 We are seeking an Executive Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent of Education, Innovation and Improvement (Executive Support Specialist 2). This position in our Office of Education Innovation and Improvement (EII) with the Oregon Department of Education. This is a full-time management service position. This role is a hybrid of remote work and will need to report to the office when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities. Remote work is embraced to the fullest extent possible without interfering with business. The Executive Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent of EII will provide direct confidential administrative support to the Assistant Superintendent of EII including coordination of administrative work amidst six EII Directors. Typical duties include: Calendar management activities including: making arrangements for meetings and special conferences; arranging travel itinerary and accommodations; preparing and submitting travel and expense claims; and keeping the Assistant Superintendent of EII informed of commitments. Researching information and composing correspondence, reports, memos and other documents. Identifying process improvement opportunities, providing communications support, and assisting in coordination of administrative support within EII Assisting with compiling information for biennial budget preparation and legislative tracking activities. Transcribing confidential, technical, or legal information during meetings or conferences as needed. Qualifying experience would involve data collection and analysis; project evaluation and/or analysis; interpretation and application of laws, rules, and regulations; or similar experience. Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) participating members will have their base salary increased by 6.95% and pay a 6% employee contribution to PERS.
