WAH contains political opinions from various contributors and users, and does not indicate the support or agreement of any organization, employer, or client a contributor might be affiliated with.

Rules of Conduct

All users must abide by the Rules of Conduct when using WAH or are subject to sanctions deemed appropriate by WAH. Unless aggravating circumstances require, WAH will give a warning prior to taking permanent action.

Users must refrain from the following prohibited conduct:

Post or otherwise transmit anything that is unlawful, fraudulent, or defamatory
Post or otherwise transmit anything deemed vulgar, obscene, or sexually explicit
Knowingly present false information as true
Threaten a person or group, or engage in any kind of hate speech
Invade the privacy of another person or group, or engage in "doxxing"
Encourage or imply support of harmful criminal conduct
Employ malicious or harmful software or other device
Upload or transmit content or data that is in any way detrimental to the operation or use of the site
Engage in any activity that would harm the reputation or standing of Wonks and Hacks or its contributors or users
Engage in name-calling, taunting, or any other conduct designed to harass
Any other similar activity that Wonks and Hacks deems harmful

All job postings must be paid positions.

This site and all materials herein are provided on an as-is basis to users.

This policy explains what information WAH collects when you use this site, and provides information about how we store and use that information.

In order to make some of the functions of this website work, we ask for information from you as a User, such as a name and e-mail address. This information is required in order to use some parts of this website. User information will also sometimes track your interaction with certain parts of the website (for example, posting a file in the File Library). Your User information is not shared publicly and only used to verify you as you use parts of this website.

We also offer you to join the "Staffer Directory" with a Profile. Your User information can be the same as what's in your Profile information, or it can be different (but it must be accurate). You can choose to set your Profile information to public or private.

WAH does not sell this information to any third parties. WAH may send occasional communications, but you are free to opt out of those at any time.

WAH uses all this information to provide services on this website, and will use it to get in contact with you directly if we need to. We may also use data to analyze trends and gather demographic information about users in aggregate.

We retain this information for at least as long as you maintain your account. It is stored securely on Wix.com servers. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is never completely secure, and although we will take steps to protect your personal information we cannot guarantee the safety of your information transmitted via this website. Any transmission of data is at your own risk.
